Spidey Sensei - by Armand Van Helden

I was honored to be featured on Armand Van Helden's latest album released November 2016 called Extra Dimensional. I wrote and performed the vocal hook on the song Spidey Sensei "Something's taking over my head now baby / One kiss delivers the one thing you're giving me." There's a part that sounds like "illusion" and the full vocal never made the final cut but it says "Stay sweet illusion / Stay next to me / Stay sweet illusion / You're everything I need." My song lyrics very frequently return to the duality of human existence: that what you are feeling or experiencing may or may not (over time) turn out to be the truth or real.

I love that the song opens with the sample (not by me): "You silly human beings try to speed the traveller's pace with super jets and rockets ships and probes to outer space but there upon the other side we laugh at every probe for their we only have to think to wiz around the globe." Armand has never been afraid to take listeners on an adventure and I love this record as a continuation of that tradition. I am proud to have been included.
